D-EDGE accelerates the hotel’s presence and establishes its building blocks for its technology infrastructure

H.I.S Hotel Holdings Co. engages D-EDGE Hospitality Solutions, a SaaS company offering leading-edge cloud-based e-commerce solutions, to accelerate its presence and establish its technology infrastructure building blocks for its first new-build hotel in Seoul – Henn na Hotel Seoul Myeong-dong scheduled to open its doors in August 2021.

D-EDGE Hospitality Solutions is proud to be appointed to provide a complete suite of technology infrastructure platforms to assist the new opening hotel with an online presence, traffic generation, website efficiency and conversion. Aside from these fundamental pillars that drive business and generate higher-margin revenue, the hotel has laid its building blocks for its technology infrastructure for easy connectivity to stay on top during this accelerated time of digital transformation. 


The responsive website is developed in different languages to maximise the click-through ratio to the Booking Engine and together with the Digital Marketing programmes are designed to precipitate the hotel’s presence internationally to attract inbound travellers. The final step is to receive bookings with connectivity to the payment gateway to complete the transaction.

Henn na Hotel Seoul Myeong-dong will start reservations on 1 February 2021.

H.I.S. Hotel Holdings will open Henn na Hotel in Myeong-dong, Seoul, South Korea, as its overseas development in Asia, taking into account synergy benefits with H.I.S. (travel agency) and expecting future demand.
Myeong-dong, the centre of the business and shopping district, is the most popular tourist destination in Seoul.
Located only a minute walk away from Myeong-dong station, Henn na Hotel provides superior access from famous duty-free shops and department stores.
In Seoul, there were 161 hotels with 27,000keys in 2012, which increased by 73% to 350 hotels with 467,000 keys in 2016.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea views, however, that while luxury and boutique hotels are in a state of excess supply, there will be a shortage of 10,000 keys for other mid-range hotels, which is why H.I.S. Hotel Holdings will open its doors in Seoul as the Henn na Hotel brand and not the Watermark Hotel brand.
